I got this spread from a friend. I ate almost half of it once I opened the jar because I could not stop eating it!!! The sesame taste is very subtle and pleasant with a good addition of small crunchy almond bits; it got the right amount of sweetness. I think the fresh and perfectly roasted sesame seeds & almonds are the key to this irresistible spread!! I think it's perfect as a desert or a snack. It is a much better alternative to peanut or almond butter.

I was surfing Amazon a while back and happened upon simply sesame. Being a bit bored with my usual peanut butter/ almond butter choices, I thought I would try something different. I was happy I took a chance. This spread is really great. It goes fast too as it has become a family favorite of late. great on toast or apples. I have already ordered more - went with a four pack since shipping is the same price as for one.

This is the best spread I have ever tried. The combination of Vanilla and Almond is to die for. Its really easy to spread and it is very smooth. One cup of milk combined with this spread on a toast makes the best nighttime munchies of all time!! The good thing about this product is low level of sugar which makes it a very healthy item. HIGHLY Recommended.

I ordered Simply Sesame looking for a healthier, more flavorful alternative to peanut butter. This spread is now one of my favorites! For a quick healthy snack, I recommend enjoying it with apple slices or a piece of toast. The subtle taste of vanilla and the addition of almond bits are a yummy twist on the natural sesame flavor. Excited to try the other flavors, too!

"Tried this for the first time at a friend's house who ordered this from Amazon. So so good. I am a Nutella fanatic but this tastes better without all the sugar or junk. I didn't know what to expect since this was my first time trying sesame spread, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Just enough sweetness without being overbearing, and a mild nutty flavor that reminds me of the subtle hazelnut in Nutella but even better. I tried it with bananas, apples, bagels, oatmeal, and granola, and it paired very well with all of the above. Great healthier alternative to Nutella or Trader Joe's cookie butter - I highly recommend Simply Sesame.

This spread has the consistency of a nut butter (may separate a little bit during storage; just stir it back up and it'll be fine) and a light tan color. It doesn't have a strong sesame taste, which is probably for the best considering it also contains sugar and vanilla! It's sweet (but not too sweet) and works on crackers and similar products. Would be useful in a lot of circumstances where peanut butter is useful. I do like the taste and would consider purchasing it again.
It's difficult to find information on this product online, so I'm going to list the ingredients and discuss the nutritional value for a bit.
Contains: ground hulled roasted sesame seeds, pure cane sugar, diced almonds, sesame powder, sesame oil, vanilla.
So it's vegan and gluten free, if those are of concern to you. It does not contain any peanut ingredients, but it does have almonds, so watch out for that if you are allergic to tree nuts.
One serving is only a tablespoon, which is a little small for my taste. This is equal to 87 calories, 56 of which are from fat (6 g of fat total, with 1 g of that being saturated fat). This has no trans fats and no cholesterol. One serving has 24 mg of sodium, which is pretty low. This has 4g of carbs (no fiber), 3 of which are sugars. This also has 3 g of protein. There's 4% of your daily calcium and 5% of your daily iron. And that's it, with respect to the nutritional value.
All-in-all, I'm glad to have discovered this product (received it in a Vegan Cuts subscription box). I get a little tired of peanut butter all the time so I'm glad to have an alternative.
